Lent Experience
A new and unique program is under development at Maranatha CRC for the upcoming season of Lent. This new program will attempt to strike a balance between a meaningful and enriching experience for long-time Christians while at the same time teaching new believers the basics of Christianity. The Gospel of John will be covered during the Lenten season. The Heidelberg Catechism will also be used as it is an excellent resource that clearly explains the basics of the Apostle's Creed, the Ten Commandments, and the Lord's Prayer for those who are new to the faith. This program is scheduled to begin on Ash Wednesday (February 14) and end on Monday, April 1 (the day after Easter). We will meet from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. Monday through Saturday at Maranatha. Contact Jerry Walters for additional information or to indicate your desire to participate.
